I wanted to work by hand with pen and in again and  begin to create the image of my tribe. I suppose if I was part of a tribe i would like it to look like this so I created  a few characters in their own specific environment.

A Poster for My Dad

My father is a children's doctor and he asked  me to illustrate a poster for  his medical office , depicting  him treating his patients. It was a fun project and I got a chance to draw my dad as a cartoon! Joy all around........

Upstate NY Fall Adventures

The bungalow colony we stay at every year  at White Lake  in Bethel, NY.

Every year for the past ten years my family and I have been spending  our summers in the Upstate , NY. We rent small bungalows in  what are know as Russian  Bungalow colonies, however this year we broke the tradition by  deciding  to go in the fall as well to experience the fall harvest festival of  Bethel Woods. On the down time we made some BBQ and played some games, I managed to get some  sketches  in as well this past weekend, they kind of have a comic book feel to them and I sort of like that.

Tiny Canvas Paintings

Lately I have been getting into painting on very small canvas boards, now I normally do not like to paint with acrylics but I thought I would give it a try. Here are the fruits of my labor. I  small experimentation in panting  intuitively  and with out  and underdrawing. These were meant to convey a folk like feel.

Roots N Blues N BBQ Festiva in Columbia, MO

Last wee I was lucky enough to attend  the  Roots N Blues Festival. I flew out to Missouri for this  event, which was quite an experience since I have never been to the midwest.  I have to say it  is a place where people take great pride and care in preserving  music appreciation within the community.

I was playing around with illustrator  and did a quick sketch of a creepy dude.  he looked to me like  he should  be named  Linal  so here he is in all his glory.

Sexy Time

I never  dabble in drawing  erotica  so I figured ide take a stab at it. Here is a series of  sexy sketch  book doodles.

Court Jester

 I wanted to create a piece  of art that resembles a wood cut in  a way and  has a  very cut out feel . I also haven't used hand lettering in a while so I hand lettered the name.  

I make T-shirts !

It would be dreamy to own an awesome rebel girl type expressive  T-shirt company some day , but for now here are some DUY t-shirts I have been making for my family and friends... In the fist four photos my lovely sister Jane is modeling some of my designs for the summer  casual  jersey shirts. In the last photos I am modeling my fall t-shirt look.

Huntington Landscapes

I spend the weekend  on Long Island eating yummy seafood and painting with my friends on the beach
about thirty minutes outside of Huntington.  Above are  two quick colored ink on stained paper  paintings I did during that time. I really enjoyed attacking the paper with the brush without doing and  initial  pencil sketching.

This year I have been invited back to teach a masters workshop at the  "Little Red House School and Elizabeth  Irwin High School"http://www.lrei.org/

 I taught a mix of  seventh , ninth and eleven graders.  Last year I did a collage demo  but this year I decide to do  a pen and ink technique demo. I had my students pick from four photos depicting the scenes  shown above and do a pen and ink interpretation of one one them.  Here featured are my own preparatory sketches of each scene  as demo pieces for my students.

Family Comics

Lately I have been sketching  out my family and friends  in a  comic book type of layout, but I am afraid to create an  actual  comic  because  well I am afraid the story line will be quite cheezy.
